India IT: AI Wins Must Survive the Revenue Replacement Test
The most interesting opportunity is the integration of AI into existing enterprise systems, where delivery accountability matters. Rising AI-labelled revenue alone cannot establish that the whole services business is accelerating.
Analyst evidence has been separated from management expectations and portfolio interpretation. This September 30 review revisits the June quarter already available in August, adding deeper source checks rather than a new reported quarter. It is a selected-company review, not whole-sector breadth; sentiment classifications are not an investment signal.
Executive Summary
AI adoption is creating identifiable work, but the investment question is how much survives after productivity savings, acquisitions and currency translation. I retain a selective stance and lower the confidence attached to a broad demand recovery.
